Your comments about ACER
Not representative of the difficulty of the actual exam (questions are easier). Ok for the style of questions asked.
doesnt help a lot with S1 and definitely not S2
Only for Section I. The real thing is much much harder
They don't change, and the questions are too easy
official material
Q's are not tough enough, find they lulled into a false sense of security
Leave this until last or you will panic.
As real as it gets
Although they are useful they shouldn't be your sole method of preparation as they are generally much easier than the actual exam.
Practice as much as you can
Closest than any other material to the nature of questions.
Use of these ALONE would never adequately prepare you, especially for section 3
Too easy.
bad misinterpretation of the what actual GAMSAT is...not very hard and can give false hope...still good for a general rundown
These are most similar to the real test

Your comments about Des O'Neill
The Essay course was not that helpful, the responses given to my essays were very generic, and I felt that the essays I wrote later on in the course were marked higher simply to make me think the course was working and that I had improved.
S3 questions
absolute waste, specially science and interview prep classes
they go into far too much detail and make you feel like you have to memorize a lot of specialized principles and ideals, which is not the point of the GAMSAT at all.
Overwhelming for section 3, a lot of the info is irrelevant.
Expensive and useless. I did worse on the science section after buying his book!
Expensive, and not very helpful.
For the science courses there is a huge amount of assumed knowledge, the attendance course was useless without having a solid background
Way too expensive and no help if your not from a science background
Essay Writing Course - bad feedback, not worth the money.
ridiculously expensive
Essay writing course - amazing. science course-not nec. for science students!
good level of challenge
Although I have not used this resource, it's materials seem far too expensive for anyone to waste their money on.
I would be cautious. It is too hard to pick up and read without having done science. And if you have you should use your text books and not waste the $200. Felt like a rip off.
The interview prep course was useless and over priced. I got more help from practice with my friends.
Close enough and decent explanations
Avoid the science lectures, way too info delivered way too fast, stick to textbooks and other sources
Bad for Section 2 - Attendance courses are a waste of time
Science part is important
Too much info in section 3, not all useful.
It's useful and I'd recommend it but its value is debatable due to it's very steep price
Not exactly gamsat similar, but appropriate to focus on specific skills and to identify areas that need improvement.
Strongly advise against the attendance courses, which are expensive and absolutely useless.
Interview preparation course was rubbish
Essay Course was not useful, comments seemed to be generic and unclear
If no prior science knowledge, I think the course could overwhelm.
lots of content. need to cover it thoughly. may not be able to do in one year etc..
Do not do his science attending course unless you have done a bridging course or have studied chemistry and physics previously. It is too in-depth and intense and a waste of money. You are better off doing a 12 week bridging course for a base knowledge that costs less.
Wouldn't recommend science courses, they were useless and didn't teach well - waste of money
Way overpriced and arrogant. Ridiculous.
prcatice tests and essays are highly recommeded

Your comments about ExamCrackers
Great for S1 ans S3
timing purposes
Limited use to understand concepts, good for general practice only.
Too detailed; completely different emphasis for MCAT than for GAMSAT
The 101 passages is a fantastic resource for S1. Very easy to measure your improvement, and focus on time management.
Too many errors in their source material.

Your comments about GAMSAT GURU
multiple incorrect answers
timing purposes
Been receiving their emails and they seem spammy and only repeating advice found on pagingdr
Practice questions not reflective of GAMSAT questions
Waste of time.

Your comments about Gold Standard (GAMSAT / MCAT)
timing purposes
This textbook is poorly put together, with only brief (and sometimes inaccurate) information on each topic. It worked as a framework, but it does not at all succeed in being what it advertises itself as.
More content knowledge needed to answer these questions than anything else. I don't think the questions are designed in the same way as the GAMSAT ones.
Currently appears a bit too MCAT based which is different from GAMSAT. The science knowledge however is fair game.

Your comments about Griffiths GAMSAT Review
Not worth the money.
Nothing in this you dont already know. They are attempting to teach you how to cut corners - to pass gamsat cut these corners. Useless if you want to do well.

Your comments about Kaplan
not very effective for physical sciences. a lot of the questions required assumed knowledge over reasoning ability. it is fine to use for verbal reasoning and biological sciences
Maybe too much info for the GAMSAT

Your comments about Khan Academy
Good background knowledge
lots of topic are too broad and not specific enough/hard enough to challenge you. gives a false sense of understanding of which is not enough to do well in GAMSAT. i.e the organic chemistry in GAMSAT is a puzzle question but indiviuals would benfit greatly if they understood SN1 and SN2 and E reactions would help greatly
super useful and very straightforward resource but YOU MUST practice the matetia

Your comments about Medired
Limited in scope and I was doubtful of accuracy in some parts

Your comments about MedPrep
This is very expensive and you could learn a lot of it yourself.
Poorly written and edited
If not used in conjunction with other textbooks, or if "starting from scratch" in any science disciplines.
In retrospect, i do not think this is better then textbooks.
Purchased some practice tests online - had some questions that were incorrect
Not great for science prep (seems to give you the wrong detail- this was a number of years ago however. They may have improved)
the sample exam was too simplified
Science info was condensed to the point of uselessness; practice exams did not closely resemble the ACER practice tests or the real thing. Don't waste your money.

Your comments about OziMed
Not reflective of the questions at all way too easy or content unrelated
the questions were either too hard or too easy; section three was either you knew it or not instead of problem solving
Section 1 too easy, section III too hard.
Good for timing yourself and practice, but I find section 1 too easy.
It's good for SI but not for science as it requires you to have prior knowledge
be careful- while I found them somewhat helpful, as I had the time to do a lot of practice they do not resemble the real thing
Questions are not up to the GAMSAT standard
The exams are not reflective of what the gamsat is actually like, especially the science section

Your comments about Paging Dr
really helpful with study tips, past experiences, and just general gamsat questions
You name it, They got it!
Great resource to compare experiences and perspectives on revision techniques, other resources and the entire application process.
A forum containing very little useful/relevant information cluttered by too many chat posts, inaccurate information, and rentacops forum moderators who are pedantic and completely unhelpful - apparently their sole purpose is to arrogantly shoot down members who have valid questions, and who realise that the search function is actually dysfunctional and, well, shit.

Your comments about passGAMSAT.com and masteringGAMSAT.com
Useless, forced marketing techniques, annoying emails
timing purposes
Money making scheme
n00b random offering nothing legit.

Your comments about personal tutoring
I asked a friend to tutor me (they were free and excellent)
From what I've seen, tutoring does not increase the likelihood of success very much, but it costs lots

Your comments about Undergraduate / other textbooks
Flirted with the practice of reviewing section 3 concepts in ugrad textbooks, but found that the depth provided was excessive, given the time constraints
Good background knowledge
Useful for basic info
Physics, chemistry books from Uni library
For section 3, with only a high school science background, I thought I could just buy a few textbooks and study them. But I realised that's a terrible way of studying because it is very unfocused and the topics are too wide ranged. Also it is often more important to learn about how to approach a question (which you learn from Des O'Neil and ACER) rather than learning the theory only.
High school level textbooks good to brush up simple ideas.
Especially the chemistry text book for first year science students. There is enough detail and practice questions in these books.
